- 1 litre Water (pani; filtered)
- 1/2 tsp Active dry yeast (khameer)
- 2 tbsp Raisins (kishmish; optional for depth) - optional
- 1 small Cinnamon stick (dalchini; for subtle spice) - optional
- 2 Cloves (laung; optional) - optional
- a pinch Rock salt (sendha namak) - optional
