How to Make Oats and Honey Nutri Bar (Traditional & Healthy Version)
Oats and Honey Nutri Bar is a wholesome and delicious snack that has found its place in the modern Indian kitchen. Traditionally, Indian snacks were made using jaggery (gud), nuts, and seeds, but with the growing awareness of healthy eating, oats have become a popular choice. These nutri bars are a perfect blend of Indian flavors and contemporary nutrition, combining rolled oats, honey (shahad), and an assortment of nuts and seeds. The result is a chewy, crunchy, and natural energy bar that's perfect for lunchboxes, mid-day snacks, or as a light lunch on the go. In India, such bars are especially appreciated during festivals like Makar Sankranti, when healthy sweets made with nuts and seeds are commonly prepared. The Oats and Honey Nutri Bar is not only convenient but also offers the wholesome taste of roasted oats and the natural sweetness of honey. Whether you are a student, professional, or homemaker, these bars are a great choice for those seeking a nutritious and filling snack rooted in Indian traditions but suited to a modern, health-conscious lifestyle.

Add desiccated coconut (if using) and roast for 1 minute. Set the roasted mixture aside to cool slightly.
1 minute
Avoid over-roasting coconut as it can burn quickly.

In a separate pan, heat ghee and add honey. Warm gently on low flame until the mixture starts to bubble. Stir in cardamom powder and chopped dates.
3 minutes
Do not boil honey; just warm it to keep nutrients intact.
