  • 1/4 cup Moong dal (split yellow lentils) (मूंग दाल)
  • 1 small, diced Carrot (गाजर)
  • 1/4 cup Green peas (मटर)
  • 6-8, chopped French beans (फ्रेंच बीन्स)
  • 1 small, finely chopped Onion (प्याज)
  • 1 small, finely chopped Tomato (टमाटर)
  • 1, finely chopped Green chilli (हरी मिर्च) - optional
  • 1 inch, grated Ginger (अदरक)
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds (जीरा)
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder (हल्दी पाउडर)
  • 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder (लाल मिर्च पाउडर) - optional
  • 1/4 tsp Garam masala (गरम मसाला) - optional
  • to taste Salt (नमक)
  • 1 tsp Cooking oil (तेल (use mustard oil for Punjabi flavor))
  • 1 tbsp, chopped Coriander leaves (धनिया पत्ती)
  • 2.5 to 3 cups Water (as needed)
