- 1 inch Adrak (Fresh ginger) (sliced)
- 1 tsp Nimboo ka ras (Lemon juice) (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp Shahad (Honey) (optional, for sweetness) - optional
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper (freshly ground, optional) - optional
- 1 Star anise (optional) - optional
