easy

Cola Soft Drink is a beloved beverage across India, enjoyed by people of all ages during hot summers, family gatherings, and festive occasions. While commercial colas have become popular, preparing a homemade version allows you to control ingredients, ensuring a healthier, preservative-free experience. This Indian-style cola soft drink uses natural spices and sweeteners for a refreshing taste with an authentic desi twist. The aromatic blend of jeera (cumin), dalchini (cinnamon), and nimbu (lemon) gives this cola its signature spiced profile, reminiscent of the classic masala cola served at street-side soda stalls and during celebrations like Holi and Diwali. Making your own cola at home brings the joy of experimenting with traditional Indian flavors while avoiding excess sugar and artificial additives. This recipe highlights the Indian approach to beverages, where spices and herbs create unique flavor layers. Whether served at a summer party, a festive dinner, or as an afternoon refresher, homemade cola soft drink is a healthier, tastier alternative to store-bought versions. It connects you to the rich beverage culture of India, where each region adds its own twist to familiar favorites.

    5 minutes

Let the syrup cool completely before mixing with soda.

  4. 4

Add roasted cumin powder and black salt to the cooled syrup. Mix well.
